I conceived this painting six months ago. The way life divides us into social roles got me thinking about visualizing the fragmentation of personality in a complex multitasking world. I wanted to find a visual language that would have sharp boundaries like my planner yet still preserve the silhouette as an image of the inner self that remains unchanged and whole. And yet I adore aesthetics and fashion which is why I brought this idea to life through the image of a woman who despite all the challenges strives to maintain her taste and appeal.
The unifying color here is brown. I love these earthy tones because they bring peace, balance, and harmony to this piece.
